  • The 1st Annual Captain's log

November 29, 2019 By Denver Cramer

We made it. 2019 you've been a star. We’ve never really done a wrap up before. We were down at the pub and a couple of our mates suggested this and thought, ‘ey not a bad idea. Wanna beer?’

So after 5 years in the biz we’re writing our first ever yearly wrap up. For all of those who are new mates to our little club of drinking and life appreciation, let us give you a little background about how/who we are and then crack into this year in review.

Denver and Liely (us) are mates before anything else and as a company policy, we only work with people we would have a drink with. It’s actually a legit criteria and that’s why instead of emails, we love to call; if we’re anywhere for work we always make time to catch up with our peeps for drink (seriously, hit us up). We’re not interested in exponential growth at the detriment of quality products or relationships. We think it’s why we have a whole bunch of mates all over the world that have our back and we have theirs. It’s more than just a glass. It’s the starting point. It’s a fight club. Well, not literally but in spirit. (Get it ;))

So this year. Wow. We had the launch of our Traveller in country Victoria, Australia on ATV’s. The best people who were up for everything and anything. Hit that mountain peak? Yep, sure. Pub dinner? Hells yeah. Make a campfire? Done. Drink killer whiskies. No brainer.

We love where the Traveller has taken us. And others. It’s 100% the right product for our crew and their lives. I never leave home without it.

What else, what else. The AGAVE glass. With me based in Mexico, we continued the 2-year long research and development journey of the glass. Mid-year we finally got there! My gawd, Agave is a complex beast but as they say ‘we get by with a little (a lot) of help from our friends.” So many trips to the two main regions of Oaxaca and Jalisco plus the periphery regions of Sinaloa, Chihuahua and Durango. The most advanced Agave glass in the world by far and we worked our asses off to achieve that. So so much Mexican food, too many laughs and many new friends. That's what it's all about in the end anyway hey.

Media wise we did a bunch with our first ever film. The Agave glass mini-film with master blaster Ben McNamara on the proverbial camera decks. Check this out below if you haven’t already.

Also two more films we produced with Ben again to come which were filmed in Scotland for Edrington. Stay tuned here.

Obviously so much more happened in the in and outs of running a small business. It’s hard but it’s so rewarding and that because of you guys. It totally makes it worth our while and honestly, with all the hours and travel, what else would we be doing. They say do something you love and you’ll never ‘work’ a day. This is living. Thankyou guys for supporting us and making it so. Much love D&L
